Prime Minister Rabuka Urges Kadavu Residents to Ensure Timely Action on Development Projects

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is urging the people of Kadavu to maintain pressure on officials to ensure timely action on development projects.

Issuing an apology for the slow utilisation of funds allocated for the province’s development, Rabuka acknowledged the delays and encouraged islanders to actively follow up with various government ministries regarding the progress of local projects.

Rabuka stated that they have the right to hold the government accountable and ensure that development within their communities proceeds as planned.

He clarified that unspent development funds from the last financial year remained in the Finance Ministry’s budget.

The Kadavu Provincial Council meeting is being held at Suva Civic Centre, concluding today.
