The Deputy Leader of The People’s Alliance party, Manoa Kamikamica, has issued a strong call for immediate resignations following Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka’s remarks about potential factionalism within the government. Kamikamica’s comments come in light of allegations that some members are contemplating forming a separate political party.
In his statement, he urged those considering a split to “leave now and don’t let that door hit you on the way out,” emphasizing that their actions show a lack of respect for the sacrifices made to maintain stability in the country’s democracy. He highlighted the importance of honoring the trust placed in the Prime Minister and The People’s Alliance by the Fijian electorate.
Kamikamica asserted that there is no tolerance for instability or personal agendas that threaten national unity. He vowed that any attempts to undermine the government or the party would be met with steadfast resistance. He addressed those spreading rumors online by saying, “good luck and goodbye,” reaffirming the party’s commitment to a stable and prosperous Fiji for future generations. He concluded by emphasizing that the current efforts are building the foundation for economic growth and social unity, insisting that no one will be allowed to disrupt that vision.
