Energy Fiji Limited has announced a scheduled power outage for today, November 25, to conduct essential maintenance on power lines. The planned outages will vary by location and are dependent on weather conditions.
In Labasa, residents can expect power disruptions from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, particularly affecting areas such as Naduna, Nagigi No.11, Nagigi Primary School, and along Waigele Airport Road, including Wailevu Village Junction through to Wailevu Solove Junction. The outage will also impact Gopis Minimart, Diagnostic and Specialist Medical Wailevu Centre, Tee Mariners Shop, and Smile Stores investment.
In Nasese, the power will be down from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the whole of Domain Road, Allardyce Road, Jackson Street, Mahatey Drive, Barton Place, Imthurn Road, Seymour Drive, O’Brien Road, and several other locations affected, including the Walesi Head Office and Live and Learn Fiji.
Savusavu will face power cuts from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, impacting regions like Nacekoro and Tavulomo.
In Nadi, power will be disrupted from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, affecting Nawaka, Nawaka Village, and surrounding areas.
EFL advises residents to treat all power lines as if they are live during the outage, as they could become electrified unexpectedly.
