Parliament was adjourned earlier today due to an unexpected power outage in the capital. Speaker Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu announced the adjournment at 3:05 PM, indicating that the automatic recording system through the Info Technology & Computing (ITC) infrastructure was disrupted.
He explained, “As a result, the system cannot broadcast, and the For the Record (FTR) cannot record either. This system is essential for the Hansard team to document everything said and done for our future records.”
The House is scheduled to reconvene tomorrow at 9:30 AM.
