Port Denarau Marina Prepares for Holiday Season with New Mega-Yacht Berth

As the festive season approaches, Port Denarau Marina in Nadi is preparing for a surge in activity, showcasing its readiness for the high-traffic period. The recent upgrades to the marina not only enhance its operational resilience but also significantly improve safety and vessel navigation during this busy time.

The marina boasts an impressive infrastructure, featuring 62 fully serviced private berths, 63 commercial berths, and 27 superyacht berths. Notably, it includes a new 115-meter mega-yacht berth, a first in the South Pacific, complemented by 16 swing moorings and a 5-meter draft at zero tide, ensuring ample accommodation for a variety of vessels.

In September, a substantial $5 million expansion was completed, incorporating a 208-meter jetty extension and thorough dredging to facilitate safe access for larger boats. This positions Port Denarau as a world-class hub for visiting vessels, attracting not just commercial ferries such as the Malolocat and Yasawa Flyer III but also private sailing charters and regional cruising yachts.

Port Denarau continues to serve as Fiji’s leading gateway to the beautiful Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands, solidifying its status as a prime destination for both leisure and tourism. As the holiday season unfolds, the marina is set to embrace an influx of visitors, providing top-notch services and facilities that enhance the travel experience in this tropical paradise.
