Independent parliamentarian Mosese Bulitavu expressed his gratitude to Speaker of the House, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, for allowing him and his 16 former FijiFirst colleagues to maintain their seats in Parliament.
“I want to thank you for your wisdom and the decisions made over the past few months that have enabled us, 17 members on this side of Parliament, to retain our seats,” Bulitavu said.
“We are grateful for your confidence in us. Despite our party being deregistered and attempting to terminate us, you listened to our perspective and, after considering various legal opinions, decided that we could continue as Members of Parliament without vacating our seats.”
