Ratu Vuniyani Navuniuci, the Momo Levu Na Tui Nadi, has strongly criticized Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) politician Seremaia Tuiteci for suggesting that he and Tui Nawaka Ratu Joeli Bulu are planning to join the party. In a heated letter to the media, Ratu Vuniyani categorically denied the unsubstantiated claims made by Tuiteci, who serves as the President of SODELPA’s Ba/West/Yasawa Constituency.
Ratu Vuniyani asserted that neither he nor Ratu Joeli Bulu has indicated any desire to change their political affiliations or align with SODELPA. He characterized the allegations as completely false and misleading, accusing Tuiteci of fabricating statements to manipulate public perception for his own benefit.
Both Ratu Vuniyani and Tui Nawaka have called for a public apology from Tuiteci for spreading these falsehoods and trying to create division within their communities. Ratu Vuniyani emphasized his commitment to his people and reiterated support for Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka’s leadership. He urged media outlets and the public to ignore these misleading claims and uphold the truth, affirming his dedication to unity and transparency in his role as a traditional leader.
