Former Cabinet Minister Lynda Tabuya is set to appear before the People’s Alliance (PA) party’s Legal and National Disciplinary Sub-Committee following her recent removal from the position of Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection. Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka made this decision due to the emergence of a viral nude video linked to Tabuya, highlighting the importance of upholding the party’s integrity and public image.
Rabuka, who is also the leader of the People’s Alliance Party, expressed that the decision was not taken lightly but was made in the best interest of the people. His initiation of the disciplinary committee came after numerous complaints from party founders and members. The PA general secretary, Sila Balawa, confirmed that the disciplinary process has been started in accordance with the party’s constitution, emphasizing the need for a fair and thorough investigation.
