Prime Minister and Leader of the People’s Alliance Party, Sitiveni Rabuka, has acknowledged reports that some members of his party are considering establishing a new political party in advance of the 2026 General Election. Rabuka stated that these individuals are entitled to pursue that option. In a message shared on his Facebook page, he affirmed, “However, let it be known that the People’s Alliance remains strong, united, and fully committed to delivering on our promises to the Fijian people.” He emphasized that the party will not be sidetracked and that their focus and mission remain unchanged.
