Political Leaders Unite Against False Claims: A Strong Denial from Na Tui Nadi

The Momo Levu Na Tui Nadi, Ratu Vuniyani Navuniuci, has criticized Seremaia Tuiteci, a politician from the Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA), over claims that he and Tui Nawaka Ratu Joeli Bulu plan to join the party.

In a strongly worded letter to the media, Ratu Vuniyani firmly denied Tuiteci’s allegations, labeling them as unfounded. He stated, “I categorically deny the unfounded allegations made by Seremaia Tuiteci, President of the SODELPA Ba/West/Yasawa Constituency, as reported in certain media outlets.”

Ratu Vuniyani emphasized that neither he nor Ratu Joeli Bulu has indicated any intention to switch their political allegiance to SODELPA. He described the claims as entirely false and misleading, accusing Tuiteci of fabricating statements that misrepresent his views and manipulate public perception for personal benefit.

Both the Tui Nadi and Tui Nawaka are demanding a public apology from Tuiteci for spreading what they call lies and for efforts to create division within their communities.

As a traditional leader, Ratu Vuniyani reaffirmed his commitment to his people and support for Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka’s leadership. He urged media outlets and the public to dismiss the false claims and prioritize the truth.

“I will continue to uphold my duty to my people to maintain unity and transparency,” he stated.
