The National Legal and Disciplinary Sub-Committee of the People’s Alliance party (PA) is set to meet today to discuss the situation surrounding former deputy leader Lynda Tabuya, following the release of an explicit video of her dancing on social media during Christmas Eve. Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka dismissed Ms. Tabuya from her position last Thursday after the video went viral.
In her defense, Ms. Tabuya acknowledged the video’s authenticity, stating that it was meant for her husband, Robert Semaan. However, it’s important to note that an earlier investigation by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption revealed that Ms. Tabuya’s marriage to Mr. Semaan had been legally terminated in December 2016.
