Police Wives Triumph Amid Challenges in Volleyball Showdown!

In the recent Volleyball competition, the Police Servers 2 team triumphed over the Army Servers 2, winning 2 out of 3 sets. In another thrilling match, the Police Wives narrowly outplayed the Army Wives in a tightly contested game, securing victory in 3 out of 5 sets.

Mereia Tuisawau, the captain of the Police Wives, spoke about the challenges faced in preparing for the match, emphasizing the difficulties that arise from being separated from family, especially for team members who are mothers. “It was quite a tough journey as most of us would spend our days away from our families,” Tuisawau shared.

The team’s coach, Ratu Seremaia Tuinausori, praised the diligent work put in during training, which proved vital in today’s success. “All thanks goes to God for giving us the energy today enabling us to carry out today’s game,” he remarked. Despite the Army Wives dominating the first set, his team remained resolute and trusted in their prior training.

Tuisawau also addressed the team challenges, noting changes in player availability due to commitments to other sports teams, including netball and rugby sevens. However, she expressed gratitude for the unity and determination of her teammates, stating, “I thank God for giving us and the rest of the players in the team, a good heart.”

The Fiji Police Force has demonstrated exceptional skills in volleyball competitions in recent years and aims to maintain their title this year.
