Police Warn: Drug Crackdown Intensifies Amid Holiday Surge

Authorities are ramping up drug operations in response to increased activity related to school holidays, festivals, meetings, and conferences.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, has issued a stern warning to those engaged in the illicit drug trade, asserting that law enforcement will catch those involved.

Recent raids conducted in Kadavu have led to significant drug discoveries and the arrest of individuals for illegal possession.

ACP Driu urges the public to assist in the fight against drug-related issues by reporting any information they might have to the authorities through the numbers 917 or Crime Stoppers at 919.

K9 operations are being bolstered by support from the New Zealand Police through the Fiji Police Partnership Programme, which aims to enhance the capabilities of the Fiji Police Dog Patrol in cooperation with the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service.
