The Fiji Police Force clinched the 2024 Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl Competition after a narrow victory over the Army, winning 20-19 at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. This win holds special significance as it coincides with the celebration of the Fiji Police Force’s 150th anniversary.

Coach Solomone Nute praised his team’s unwavering commitment and effort throughout the match, highlighting young Ponipate Tuberi’s exceptional performance, which earned him the title of man of the match. Conversely, Army captain John Muller expressed his disappointment, noting that his team had multiple opportunities to secure a victory.

Throughout the week-long Sukuna Bowl competition, the Police showcased their strength by winning in various sports, including Cricket, Soccer, Boxing, Volleyball, and Development rugby. In contrast, the Army managed to achieve victories only in Netball and women’s rugby.
