A collaborative law enforcement operation involving the Police Mobile Force (PMF), the Fiji Detector Dog Unit (FDDU), and the Divisional Operations team successfully executed a raid in Nadonumai today, leading to the arrest of three individuals suspected of illegally possessing narcotics.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, revealed that this joint task force was sent to the Nadonumai area for two targeted raids. The operation resulted in the seizure of substances believed to be marijuana, items suspected to have been stolen, and equipment thought to be used for packaging illicit drugs.

The three detainees are currently in custody at the Lami Police Station as investigations proceed. ACP Driu emphasized that this festive season, authorities aim to disrupt criminal activities and increase pressure on drug operations through such proactive measures. He stressed the importance of community involvement, urging the public to report any suspicious activities by contacting Crime Stoppers at 919.

This operation highlights the ongoing commitment to combating drug-related crimes and reinforces the significance of community participation in ensuring public safety. As positive steps are taken to address these issues, it is essential for the community to remain vigilant and engaged. Cooperation between law enforcement and the public can have a substantial impact in the fight against crime, particularly during times where festive celebrations are often accompanied by increased illegal activities.
