Police Punches Above Their Weight in Epic Boxing Showdown!

Jone Davule from the Police team secured a decisive victory against Pita Nasowaqa of the Army in the 3.5-67kg category during the Ratu Sukuna Bowl Boxing Competition held at the LICI Courts in Laucala Bay, Suva. Davule showcased his skills by maintaining a dominant presence in the ring, effectively using jabs that won him the match by unanimous decision.

Although Nasowaqa fought valiantly, the judges ultimately favored Davule’s performance. The Lomaiviti native expressed his appreciation for the win, feeling optimistic about his boxing abilities and their alignment with international standards, particularly when comparing them to competitions like the Pacific Games and Commonwealth events.
