A police officer, William Mckay, has been charged with unlawful possession of illicit drugs after authorities discovered a substantial quantity of marijuana at his home. During a recent search, police seized 40.07 kilograms of marijuana, amounting to 6,037 branches of dried marijuana leaves. Mckay made his first appearance in the Suva Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Pulekeria Low, where he was granted a $1,000 cash bail.
