In the recent Volleyball competition, Police Servers 2 triumphed over Army Servers 2, winning two out of three sets. Meanwhile, in a closely contested match, Police Wives emerged victorious against Army Wives, securing three sets out of five.

Mereia Tuisawau, the captain of the Police Wives, shared that the preparation for the game was challenging. “It was quite a tough journey as most of us spent our days away from our families, especially with children, which made those times difficult.”

Ratu Seremaia Tuinausori, the coach of the Police Wives, praised his team’s dedication to training, which contributed to their success in the match. He expressed gratitude, stating, “All thanks goes to God for providing us with the energy today to perform well. Although the Army Wives took the lead in the first set, we remained encouraged by our hard work over the past few months.”

Tuisawau also mentioned the hurdles the team faced leading up to the match, particularly the frequent changes in player lineup due to certain circumstances. “A significant challenge was the consistent alterations within our team as some players were also engaged in other sports like Netball and Rugby Sevens. Despite this, I am thankful for the good spirit among the players.”

The Fiji Police Force has a strong legacy in volleyball competitions over the years and is determined to defend their title once again this year.

This competition highlights not just the spirit of sportsmanship but also the resilience and dedication shown by the participating teams. With both Police Wives and Police Servers demonstrating their commitment, the competitive spirit of the Fiji Police Force promises an exciting tournament ahead.
