In the recent Volleyball competition, the Police Servers 2 team triumphed over Army Servers 2, winning 2 sets out of 3. Additionally, the Police Wives team achieved a hard-fought victory against the Army Wives, winning in a closely contested match that spanned 3 sets out of 5.
Team Captain of Police Wives, Mereia Tuisawau, shared that the journey leading up to the match was quite strenuous, especially as many players have families and children, which made preparation challenging. She expressed pride in her team for their resilience and determination.
Coach Ratu Seremaia Tuinausori praised his team’s dedication during training, recognizing their efforts as the key to their success in the match. He stressed the importance of faith, stating, “All thanks goes to God for giving us the energy today enabling us to carry out today’s game.” He noted that despite the Army Wives winning the first set, the Police Wives remained motivated by their months of diligent training.
Tuisawau also pointed out the struggles the team faced during their preparation, particularly with player availability due to commitments in other sports. She emphasized gratitude for the team’s spirit and cooperation, underscoring the challenges they overcame together.
