In a thrilling volleyball showdown, Police Servers 2 secured a victory over Army Servers 2, winning 2 out of 3 sets. Similarly, in another exciting match, Police Wives triumphed over Army Wives in a close contest, taking 3 out of 5 sets.
Mereia Tuisawau, the captain of the Police Wives team, spoke about the arduous preparation that led up to today’s event. “It was quite a tough journey as many of us spent our days away from our families, especially those with children, making the days feel particularly difficult,” she shared.
Coach Ratu Seremaia Tuinausori praised the team’s dedication during training, which ultimately paid off in today’s game. “All thanks to God for giving us the energy to carry out today’s game. While the Army Wives started strong in the first set, we remained optimistic, and our rigorous training over the past couple of months prepared us for this challenge,” he stated.
Captain Tuisawau also addressed some obstacles they faced in preparation, particularly the frequent changes in team composition. “A major challenge has been the constant adjustments to our lineup, as some players are also committed to the netball and rugby sevens teams. However, I am grateful for the spirit and resilience shown by our players.”
The Fiji Police Force continues to demonstrate dominance in volleyball competitions, and they are determined to retain their championship title this year.
