A collaborative operation between officers from the Police Mobile Force (PMF), Fiji Detector Dog Unit (FDDU), and Divisional Operations Team successfully led to the arrest of three men in Nadonumai for alleged possession of illicit drugs.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Livai Driu confirmed that the law enforcement effort involved two separate raids. During one of these operations, authorities discovered substances believed to be marijuana, along with stolen electronics and equipment potentially used for drug packaging.
The three individuals have been taken into custody at the Lami Police Station as investigations are ongoing. ACP Driu highlighted that the police’s objective during this festive season is to disrupt criminal networks and intensify actions against illegal activities through targeted operations.
The public is encouraged to play a crucial role in combatting drug-related offenses by reporting any suspicious behavior to Crime Stoppers at 919.
This operation underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies to ensure community safety and reduce drug-related crimes. By fostering public cooperation, there is hope for stronger community ties and a safer environment for all.
