Police are being reminded of their commitment to combating drug trafficking, with the Fiji Police Force taking a strong stance against any efforts to undermine their operations. Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations (ACP) Livai Driu emphasized this message following the arrest of a 31-year-old man in Caubati. The suspect was apprehended after police found clear plastic bags containing white crystals, believed to be methamphetamine, as well as dried leaves suspected to be marijuana. During his arrest, the man allegedly attempted to bribe a police officer. ACP Driu assured the public that any reports regarding police misconduct would be met with appropriate disciplinary actions, including both internal reviews and criminal proceedings.
