A 40-year-old man, believed to be linked to the sale and distribution of marijuana, was apprehended on Friday following a raid conducted by the Serious Organised Crime and Intelligence Department of the Southern Division.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, reported that the operation in Caubati resulted in the arrest of the suspect after officials discovered several dried branches and leaves wrapped in aluminum foil, which are suspected to be marijuana.
“The Fiji Police Force is dedicated to its role in the Counter Narcotics Framework focused on reducing supply and disrupting networks involved in the distribution of illegal substances,” stated Mr. Driu.
The suspect is currently in custody, and all seized materials have been sent for analysis.
