The Divisional Police Commander for the Western Division, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Iakobo Vaisewa, has urged officers under his command to address complaints effectively by adhering strictly to established protocols.
SSP Vaisewa made this statement during his address at the end-of-quarter divisional parade, which included officers from Rakiraki to Sigatoka. He emphasized that every report should be regarded with equal significance and appropriate advice must be given to ensure complainants feel satisfied with the response.
He reiterated the Acting Commissioner of Police’s stance of zero tolerance towards any officers involved in criminal activities, emphasizing that those who misuse their authority for personal gain will face repercussions.
SSP Vaisewa also highlighted public expectations for police responsiveness, urging officers to either enhance their performance or consider stepping down if they are unable to meet the demands of their roles.
