Police Commander Issues Ultimatum: Step Up or Step Down!

The Divisional Police Commander for the Western region, Senior Superintendent of Police Iakobo Vaisewa, has urged his officers to focus on addressing complaints by adhering strictly to established processes and procedures.

During his address at the end of the fourth quarter divisional parade, which included officers from Rakiraki to Sigatoka, SSP Vaisewa emphasized the importance of treating every report seriously and providing appropriate advice to complainants.

He stated, “No report should be treated lightly, and proper advice should be given to the complainant, so they leave satisfied.”

SSP Vaisewa also reinforced the Acting Commissioner of Police’s stance on zero tolerance for officers engaged in criminal activities. He warned that any officer caught exploiting their position for personal gain through illegal activities will face repercussions.

He called on officers to meet the demands of policing, indicating that those unable to cope should consider resigning.
