Police Commander Issues Strong Warning to Officers: Step Up or Step Out!

The Western Divisional Police Commander, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Iakobo Vaisewa, has urged his officers to address complaints effectively by adhering strictly to established procedures. SSP Vaisewa conveyed this message during his end-of-fourth quarter divisional parade, which included officers from Rakiraki to Sigatoka.

He emphasized that every report should be taken seriously, and appropriate guidance should be provided to ensure complainants leave satisfied. “No report should be treated lightly, and proper advice should be given to the complainant,” he stated.

SSP Vaisewa also highlighted the Acting Commissioner of Police’s strict stance against officers involved in criminal activities, warning that any officer misusing their uniform for personal gain through illegal means will face consequences. He reiterated that the public expects a higher level of responsiveness from police officers and urged them to either rise to the occasion or consider resigning if they are unable to meet the demands of their role.
