The Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sakeo Raikaci, urged police officers to enhance their performance as they prepare for 2025. During the conclusion of a two-day joint back brief hosted by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Police Prosecutions, ACP Raikaci emphasized the significance of the meeting. It served as a platform for CID personnel, prosecution officers, crime scene investigators, and divisional commanders to explore methods to elevate service delivery.

Raikaci highlighted the need for actionable outcomes from the discussions, stressing that the insights gathered must not merely become another forgotten document. He called upon leaders and supervisors within the department to take initiative and create tangible improvements. There was a specific reminder about the financial investments made in various operations, including visitations and docket inspections, and he underscored that this investment should yield better investigations and prosecutions, ultimately enhancing service delivery.

“Anything less would be doing a disservice to our role and not honoring our oath of service,” he stated.

This commitment from law enforcement leaders signifies an important step towards accountability and effectiveness in the police force. As they move forward, there is a hopeful outlook that these improvements will positively impact the community and enhance public trust in law enforcement. The proactive approach adopted by the police leadership could lead to a more responsive and engaged police service that prioritizes community needs and safety.
