Police Chief Celebrates Officers’ Resilience and Dedication

Acting Commissioner of Police, Juki Fong Chew, praised the exceptional efforts of officers in the Western Division during a medal presentation ceremony held at the Girmit Center in Lautoka today. Chew noted that the division faced numerous challenges over the past year.

He remarked, “We have our good days and bad days, but we continue to march on, never allowing the negatives to bring us down. It takes strong leadership to navigate these difficulties, and I commend the Deputy Police Commissioner and their command group for their guidance.”

Chew expressed gratitude to everyone for their support during his tenure as Acting Commissioner and extended his thanks to retired officers for their ongoing contributions to the organization they once served.

In total, 188 officers and retirees received the Fiji Police Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, while 69 individuals were honored with the Fiji Police Medal.

This recognition not only highlights the dedication of the police force but also reinforces the importance of community support and strong leadership in overcoming challenges. It reflects a commitment to excellence and integrity in service, fostering hope and motivation for continued positive contributions within the law enforcement community.
