Police Blue successfully defended their title at the Fiji Bitter Malake 7s tournament in Rakiraki on Saturday, defeating Devo Babas 5-0 in a closely contested final. The victory earned the team a prize of $6,000.
In the semifinals, Police Blue secured their spot in the final by overcoming Tabadamu with a score of 19-7. Meanwhile, Devo Babas advanced by defeating Wardens Gold 17-5.
In other categories, the Lilian Amazons took home the Women’s title, and Village Boys emerged victorious in the U21 division. Sairusi Vunisa from Devo Babas was honored as the Best Player of the Tournament, while Kelerayani Luvu of the Lilian Amazons was recognized as the Best Female Player. The Best U21 Player award went to Joseva Naqarikau from Village Boys.
