Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka made a surprise visit to former parliamentarian Salote Radrodro at her home in Namulomulo, Nabouwalu, Bua, yesterday. This unexpected gesture came after Ms. Radrodro’s recent release from prison in September, making the visit particularly significant.

During his visit, Mr. Rabuka took the opportunity to learn more about the copra industry and its ongoing operations. This visit occurred as part of his tour of key locations related to the China Aid Vanua Levu Road Development Project.

Ms. Radrodro’s son, Alipate, expressed gratitude towards the Prime Minister for his visit, noting that their family had the chance to speak with him just days before New Year’s. He conveyed hopes for a safe and prosperous New Year as well as a bright outlook for 2025.

The visit caught Ms. Radrodro’s family off guard, as it followed a church service. She extended her best wishes to Mr. Rabuka and the Coalition Government for the upcoming year.

In summary, this visit illustrates the Prime Minister’s commitment to connecting with community leaders and addressing local industries, while also fostering goodwill and support among citizens. It reflects a hopeful approach toward the future, emphasizing unity and shared aspirations as the new year approaches.
