Pleass Global Limited (PBP), a local bottler of artesian water based in Fiji, has recently announced significant advancements in its operations, aimed at enhancing shareholder value and bolstering its market presence. The company, which trades on the South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPX), disclosed these developments during a communication to its shareholders.
Chairman Warwick Pleass highlighted the company’s continuous improvement trajectory, stating, “Our stakeholders will no doubt be pleased with yet another result in the now long trend of improved company performance as we reach suitable scale.” The bottling line has undergone its most extensive upgrade since 2017, with upgrades costing approximately $2 million, completed on January 22, 2025. This includes the installation of new machinery designed to improve product quality while enhancing efficiency.
Moreover, Pleass Global has established a new Distribution Centre in Nadi, effectively addressing the growing demand for its products in western markets. To further this effort, the company is in the process of developing a larger, purpose-built Distribution Centre, budgeting around $8 million for this project.
In addition to these facilities, Pleass Global has embarked on constructing a new factory and warehouse in Namosi, which is expected to significantly increase its operational capacity. The proposed budget for this project is set at $22 million.
These extensive investments reflect the company’s leadership’s strong confidence in Pleass Global’s growth potential, especially as the firm has achieved the requisite sales levels for its new facility to function optimally. With a robust export order book, the outlook for the company remains optimistic.
Furthermore, as part of its continuing commitment to transparency and shareholder engagement, PBP is expected to release its full audited financial statements and the 2024 Annual Report early this year, with encouragement for continued dividends to shareholders. The company has recently gained the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) certification, a recognition that underscores its compliance with international customs frameworks, thereby improving its operational capabilities and prospects for exporting Fijian products globally.
Overall, Pleass Global Limited’s recent initiatives and upgrades demonstrate a proactive approach to growth, reflecting a hopeful future for the company and its stakeholders in the vibrant Fijian market.
