Planned Power Shutdown: What You Need to Know Today

Energy Fiji Limited has announced a scheduled power shutdown for today, November 25, to conduct urgent maintenance on power lines. The shutdown will occur in several regions, depending on weather conditions.

In Labasa, power will be unavailable from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, affecting areas including Naduna, Nagigi No.11, Nagigi Primary School, and sections of Waigele Airport Road from Wailevu Village Junction to Wailevu Solove Junction, as well as nearby businesses and medical facilities.

Nasese will experience outages from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Areas impacted include Whole of Domain Road, Allardyce Road, Jackson Street, Mahatey Drive, Barton Place, Imthurn Road, Seymour Drive, O’Brien Road, Pacific Islands, Development Forum, Walesi Head Office, South Point Lodge, Royal British Legion Community, Live and Learn Fiji, and Berkley Crescent.

In Savusavu, the power will be shut down from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, affecting Nacekoro and Tavulomo.

In Nadi, the power will be out from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with outages including the entire Nawaka area, Nawaka Village, portions of Kerebula, Alla Dutta Road, Lolobalavu Reservoir, Taci, Vatutu Village, Togo Lavusa Road, Togo Bhartiya School, and Naicaracara.

EFL advises all residents to consider power lines as live and exercise caution, as they may become electrified without warning.
