Planned Power Outages: What You Need to Know Today

Energy Fiji Limited has announced a scheduled power outage today, November 25, to conduct essential maintenance on power lines. This outage is subject to weather conditions.

In Labasa, electricity will be unavailable from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM in various areas, including Naduna, Nagigi No. 11, Nagigi Primary School, and along Waigele Airport Road from Wailevu Village Junction to Wailevu Solove Junction. Other affected locations include Wailevu Solove, Gopis Minimart, the Diagnostic and Specialist Medical Wailevu Centre, Tee Mariners Shop, and Smile Stores Investment.

In Nasese, the power cut will last from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, impacting the entire Domain Road, Allardyce Road, Jackson Street, Mahatey Drive, Barton Place, Imthurn Road, Seymour Drive, O’Brien Road, as well as several businesses and institutions like the Pacific Islands Development Forum and the Walesi Head Office.

Savusavu will experience a power outage from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, affecting Nacekoro and Tavulomo. Similarly, in Nadi, the outage will be from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with areas such as the entire Nawaka, Nawaka Village, parts of Kerebula, and several additional locations being affected.

EFL advises all residents to consider all power lines as live and potentially electrified.
