Toxicology reports have cleared the Warwick Fiji Resort and Spa of any wrongdoing following an incident last Saturday where seven guests fell ill after consuming a Pina Colada. The investigation confirmed that no illicit substances or methanol were present in the cocktails served at the resort.
During a press conference, Minister for Tourism Viliame Gavoka announced the findings and expressed gratitude for the immediate medical attention that the affected guests received. The group, which included four Australians, one American, and two foreign residents, experienced symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and neurological issues and were hospitalized at Aspen Medical Hospital in Lautoka. Fortunately, all have since been discharged and are now in full recovery.
