Sitiveni Rabuka, the leader of the People’s Alliance Party (PAP), has expressed confidence in the stability of his party amid allegations of internal disorder. In a recent media interaction, the Prime Minister reassured the public that PAP members in the government remain united, particularly following the recent nomination and appointment of Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu as Fiji’s President-Elect.
Rabuka addressed the issue of “troublemakers” attempting to create conflicts within the party, asserting that these efforts are merely attempts to exaggerate minor issues. “The People’s Alliance Party is solid and growing,” he emphasized, reinforcing the idea that the party is maintaining its strength and coherence despite external pressures.
When asked about the identities of these troublemakers, Rabuka chose not to disclose any names, instead highlighting the confidence that the party members and supporters have in his leadership.
This situation underlines the ability of political parties to navigate challenges while affirming their unity and growth. Rabuka’s remarks serve as a reminder of the importance of solidarity in governance, which is essential for addressing the people’s needs effectively. The future looks promising for the People’s Alliance Party as they continue to focus on their vision and objectives amid distractions.
