Penang Year 8 Student Tops National Exams with Near-Perfect Score

Ridhvik Chand, a Year 8 student at Penang Sangam Primary School in Rakiraki, has made headlines after achieving the highest provisional marks in the country, scoring an impressive 491 out of 500 in this year’s examinations. His near-perfect subject scores demonstrate his academic excellence, with marks of 96 in English, 100 in Mathematics, 100 in Basic Science, 95 in Healthy Living, 96 in Social Science, and 99 in Hindi.

In reflecting on his success, Ridhvik attributed his impressive results to consistent study habits, effective organization, and proactive preparation. “I created a simple study timetable to revise each subject instead of rushing at the last minute,” he explained. He also emphasized the importance of balancing study with adequate rest to keep his mind fresh and focused.

Ridhvik’s encouragement for fellow students includes adhering to discipline, believing in themselves, and seeking assistance from teachers when needed. “Start revising early, ask your teachers for help, and trust that your hard work will bring good results,” he advised.

With aspirations of becoming a software engineer, Ridhvik’s ambition drives him to continue excelling in his studies. Reflecting on his achievement, school headteacher Richard Kumar expressed pride in Ridhvik’s success, noting, “This outstanding result reflects exceptional dedication, strong family support, and our teachers’ commitment.” Kumar further stated that Ridhvik’s accomplishment serves as an inspiration for the entire Penang Sangam School community, motivating them to strive for excellence and believe in the limitless potential of every learner.

The story of Ridhvik Chand is not only a testament to individual effort and commitment but also highlights the role of a supportive educational environment in shaping future achievers.
