The Miss Cakaudrove Youth pageant is set to take place this Friday at Narain Park in Savusavu, where the winner will be crowned with a stunning headpiece featuring 59 pearls. This event, part of the Cakaudrove Multi-Ethnic Youth and Sports Festival, has attracted 14 contestants from 12 different districts, including representatives from Rabi Island and Kailoma.

The festivities will kick off today with a 10 am march from the Savusavu Court House to Narain Park. The closing ceremony, scheduled for Friday at 3 pm, will include the crowning of both the Miss Cakaudrove Youth and Miss Charity titles later that evening, with Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka attending as the chief guest.

Aubrey Whippy, the carnival coordinator, expressed gratitude to J Hunter Pearls for crafting the exquisite crown and to Shane Bower for donating the Miss Charity crown. Whippy highlighted that this inaugural event, organized by the Cakaudrove Youth Provincial Council, aims to raise funds for youth development initiatives in the region. Furthermore, entry to the park is free, promising an inclusive and enjoyable experience for everyone.
