Papua New Guinea Shocks Fiji in Historic Beach Soccer Clash!

In a surprising result at the OFC Beach Soccer Men’s Nations Cup, Papua New Guinea made a remarkable debut by defeating Fiji 8-6 in their first international match.

Fiji entered the game as the favorite and was expected to secure a win; however, Papua New Guinea’s performance defied those expectations. Fiji scored six goals through players Adriu Nabose, an own goal, Steven Dean, Navu Willie, and Rajneel Singh. The team missed the contributions of captain Tevita Waranivalu and Madhwan Gounder, who arrived late in Honiara.

Upcoming fixtures include Fiji facing Tahiti at 2 pm and Solomon Islands taking on Papua New Guinea at 4 pm today. Tomorrow, PNG will compete against Tahiti at 2 pm, and Solomon Islands will face Fiji at 4 pm. The tournament will conclude with a third-place match on Friday at 2 pm, followed by the final at 4 pm.
