The General Secretary of the People’s Alliance Party, Sila Balawa, has announced that the party is currently evaluating the situation concerning Lynda Tabuya, a party member and Member of Parliament who was recently removed from her cabinet position after an explicit video of her was leaked online.

Following this incident, the Party’s Executive Committee convened for an extensive two-hour meeting to discuss the necessary measures going forward. They have formed a disciplinary committee that has been charged with conducting a comprehensive investigation within a 21-day timeframe and will report back to the party leadership.

Lynda Tabuya will have the opportunity to present her side of the story to the committee, which consists of six members. This group is committed to carrying out its duties independently while ensuring the integrity and privacy of the ongoing process.
