Fiji Bati fullback Sunia Turuva ended his season with the Penrith Panthers on a high, playing a key role in their Grand Final victory that secured their fourth consecutive title. The Panthers triumphed over the Melbourne Storm with a score of 14-6.
Turuva made a significant impact by scoring the first try of the match in the final. Although the Storm initially led 6-0 with a try by Harry Grant, Turuva’s unconverted try in the 26th minute narrowed the gap to 6-4.
The Panthers built on their momentum, with Liam Martin scoring just before halftime after a smart pass from Nathan Cleary, giving them a 10-6 lead at the break. In the second half, Paul Alamoti added an unconverted try, extending the Panthers’ lead and moving them closer to another championship.
