Tarun Padyachi delivered an impressive performance at the Coastal Rentals and Suites Tiv Sangam Champion of Champion snooker tournament, held at the Sigatoka Club over the weekend. His consistent skills allowed him to dominate throughout the competition, culminating in a remarkable 3-0 victory against Vineel Nand in the final match.
The tournament began with intense competition in the quarterfinals. Padyachi showcased his prowess by achieving a commanding 3-0 victory over Sashi Pillay. Other notable matches included Vineel Nand defeating Manav Raj 3-1, Kushal Krishna narrowly overcoming Kailash Goundar in a 3-2 match, and Muni Sami triumphing over Mukesh Chetty with a 3-0 score.
As the semifinals progressed, Padyachi’s precision and calmness remained unmatched, leading him to another easy 3-0 win against Muni Sami and securing his place in the finale. Meanwhile, Vineel Nand also displayed great determination by winning against Kushal Krishna 3-1.
In the eagerly awaited final, Padyachi was in exceptional form. His remarkable break-building skills and strategic gameplay allowed him to effortlessly defeat Vineel Nand with a final score of 3-0, earning the coveted Champion of Champion title.
Tournament co-ordinator Anant Raj praised Padyachi for his outstanding performance throughout the event, emphasizing his consistency and ability to excel under pressure. Raj also commended all participants for their hard work and dedication, noting that the tournament sustained a high level of excellence from beginning to end.
