Pacific Tourism Takes Center Stage: SPTE 2025 Announced in Fiji!

The 9th South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) is set to take place at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa in Nadi, Fiji, on May 9–10, 2025, as announced by the Pacific Tourism Organization (SPTO).

This upcoming event follows the highly successful SPTE 2024, which was hosted at the Sheraton Fiji Resort & Spa on Denarau Island. The 2025 SPTE will coincide with other significant regional tourism events, including TRENZ 2025, scheduled for May 6–8, and the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE), taking place from April 28 to May 1, 2025. These events are expected to draw considerable attention from the tourism industry in the Pacific and beyond.

Christopher Cocker, CEO of SPTO, expressed his excitement about the 2025 event and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to promoting innovation and collaboration in Pacific tourism. “We’re thrilled to host the SPTE at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa, a venue that perfectly embodies the warmth and hospitality of the Pacific. Our aim is to provide an exceptional experience for our members and stakeholders, fostering meaningful connections and driving sustainable growth throughout the region,” stated Mr. Cocker.

The SPTE is the flagship event of the SPTO and serves as a crucial platform for tourism operators, wholesalers, and other stakeholders to network, collaborate, and showcase the diverse products and services offered in the Pacific Islands. It will be the second time the exchange is held in Fiji, following seven successful years in Australia and New Zealand.

Mr. Cocker emphasized the meticulous preparations being undertaken to ensure a seamless experience for all attendees. “While we have confirmed the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa as the venue, we are working diligently to align all logistical details to provide the best possible experience for everyone involved.”

The 2025 SPTE will also offer stakeholders a unique opportunity to explore new avenues for growth and collaboration while setting new standards for quality and partnership within the tourism sector. To ensure all guests have the necessary information to make the most of this significant event, the SPTO will enhance the SPTE website with comprehensive resources for partners interested in attending in the coming months.
