The 9th South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) is scheduled to take place on May 9-10, 2025, at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa in Nadi, Fiji, as announced by the Pacific Tourism Organization (SPTO).
This event follows the successful SPTE 2024, held at the Sheraton Fiji Resort & Spa on Denarau Island.
The upcoming SPTE will coincide with other notable regional tourism events including TRENZ 2025, set for May 6-8, and the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE), taking place from April 28 to May 1, 2025. The tourism industry in the Pacific and beyond is expected to closely engage with these back-to-back events.
Christopher Cocker, CEO of SPTO, expressed enthusiasm for the 2025 edition, underlining the organization’s commitment to promoting innovation and collaboration in Pacific tourism.
“We are excited to host the SPTE at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa, a location that embodies the rich hospitality of the Pacific,” Mr. Cocker stated. “Our goal is to create an outstanding experience for our members and stakeholders, while fostering meaningful connections and driving sustainable growth across the region.”
The SPTE serves as a crucial platform for tourism operators, wholesalers, and various stakeholders to connect, collaborate, and showcase a diverse array of products and services from the Pacific Islands.
This will mark the second time the SPTE is held in Fiji, following seven successful years in Australia and New Zealand.
Mr. Cocker highlighted the meticulous planning underway to ensure a seamless experience for attendees.
“With the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa confirmed as the venue, we are working hard to coordinate all logistical aspects to deliver the best experience for everyone involved,” he said.
The upcoming SPTE will offer stakeholders a unique opportunity to explore new avenues for growth and collaboration while setting new standards for quality and partnership in the tourism sector.
