The 9th South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) is set to take place at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa in Nadi, Fiji, on May 9–10, 2025, as announced by the Pacific Tourism Organization (SPTO).

This important event follows the successful SPTE 2024, which was held at the Sheraton Fiji Resort & Spa on Denarau Island.

The upcoming SPTE will coincide with other major regional tourism gatherings, including TRENZ 2025, scheduled for May 6–8, and the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE), taking place from April 28 to May 1, 2025. These events are expected to draw significant attention from the tourism industry across the Pacific and beyond.

SPTO CEO Christopher Cocker expressed his excitement for the 2025 SPTE, highlighting the organization’s commitment to promoting innovation and collaboration in Pacific tourism.

“We’re thrilled to host the SPTE at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa, a venue that perfectly embodies the warmth and hospitality of the Pacific,” Mr. Cocker remarked. “Our aim is to provide an exceptional experience for our members and stakeholders, fostering meaningful connections and driving sustainable growth throughout the region.”

As the premier event for SPTO, the SPTE serves as a crucial platform for tourism operators, wholesalers, and other stakeholders to network, collaborate, and showcase the diverse range of products and services available in the Pacific Islands.

This will be the second time that the SPTE is held in Fiji, following seven successful years in Australia and New Zealand.

Mr. Cocker also mentioned that meticulous preparations are being undertaken to ensure a seamless experience for all attendees.

“While we have confirmed the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa as the venue, we are working diligently to align all logistical details to provide the best possible experience for everyone involved,” he stated.

The 2025 SPTE will offer stakeholders a unique opportunity to explore new avenues for growth and collaboration while setting new standards for quality and teamwork in the tourism sector.

To assist attendees in making the most of this significant event, SPTO plans to update the SPTE website with comprehensive resources for partners interested in participation in the upcoming months.
