The 9th South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE) is scheduled to take place at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa in Nadi, Fiji, from May 9 to 10, 2025, as confirmed by the Pacific Tourism Organization (SPTO).
This event follows the successful SPTE 2024, which was held at the Sheraton Fiji Resort & Spa on Denarau Island.
The upcoming SPTE will coincide with other notable regional tourism events, including TRENZ 2025 from May 6 to 8 and the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) from April 28 to May 1, 2025. It is expected that these back-to-back events will attract significant attention from the tourism sector both in the Pacific and globally.
Christopher Cocker, CEO of SPTO, expressed his enthusiasm about the 2025 event, highlighting the organization’s commitment to promoting innovation and collaboration in the Pacific tourism industry.

The SPTE serves as a premier platform for tourism operators, wholesalers, and various stakeholders to network, collaborate, and showcase a diverse array of products and services from the Pacific Islands. This will be the second time the SPTE is held in Fiji, following seven successful years in Australia and New Zealand.
Mr. Cocker also mentioned the meticulous planning underway to ensure a seamless experience for attendees.
“While we have secured the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa as the venue, we are diligently working to coordinate all logistical aspects to deliver the best possible experience for everyone involved,” he said.
The 2025 SPTE will offer stakeholders a unique opportunity to explore new avenues for growth and collaboration while setting new standards for quality and teamwork within the tourism sector.
