FMF Group of Companies is making significant strides in the electric vehicle (EV) sector with two of its representatives now undergoing specialized training in China. Viliame Denicagi Cikamatana and Mohammed Muaz Shameer have begun their program at the China Intelligent Electric Vehicle (CIEV), where they will focus on key areas such as EV systems, maintenance, charging infrastructure, and applications of green energy.
Sanjay Punja, the Managing Director and CEO of FMF, expressed excitement about this development, describing it as the beginning of a transformative journey for the Pacific region. He asserted that the knowledge gained through this training will enhance local capabilities and prepare the region for an upcoming EV revolution. This initiative not only aims to increase technical expertise but also to establish a self-sustaining ecosystem for clean and smart mobility in the Pacific, signaling a commitment to sustainable transportation solutions.
The training has already commenced with participants engaging with leading EV specialists. This engagement is expected to expose them to advanced technologies, further supporting the Pacific’s transition towards more sustainable transport options.
FMF Group’s recent endeavors in the EV market had previously included an exclusive agreement with Yunnan Maimiao Auto Service to distribute various electric vehicles across Fiji and the South Pacific. This partnership represents a key move towards making sustainable transportation accessible and affordable.
The FMF Group is also focused on enhancing its support for electric vehicle users by launching charging stations throughout Fiji, facilitating easy access to charging facilities. With the region’s first showroom and service center projected to open later this year, FMF Group aims to set high industry standards while promoting the economic benefits associated with electric vehicle ownership.
This growing commitment toward electric mobility, coupled with technological training and infrastructure development, underscores a promising shift towards greener transportation solutions in the Pacific. The ongoing collaboration between FMF and international partners is indicative of a future that prioritizes sustainability, technological innovation, and economic development for the region.
