Pacific Football Showdown: Excitement Builds for 2024 Community Cup

Anticipation is building for the 2024 Flick Hygiene Pacific Community Cup, set to begin next Thursday at Churchill Park in Lautoka. This exciting tournament will feature elite football talents from around the Pacific, alongside prominent guest teams eager to showcase their athletic prowess in the vibrant Sugar City.

Fiji will be represented by four prestigious clubs: Lautoka FC, Rewa FC, Labasa FC, and Navua FC, each determined to put forth their strongest players in pursuit of the championship title. The opening match will see Labasa FC, the FMF Inter District Champions and National League runner-up, take on the impressive USA All-Stars. The Babasiga Lions are looking to extend their winning streak, yet they will face a formidable challenge from the USA squad, making for a thrilling start to the tournament.

After the initial game, an official opening ceremony will be held, followed by Navua FC facing off against the AuFFI All-Stars. The upcoming rounds will also feature the reigning National League Champions, Rewa FC, battling it out against the defending champions, Auckland All-Stars. Meanwhile, Lautoka FC, holders of the Fiji FACT and BOG titles, will go up against last year’s runner-up, Manukau All-Stars, adding to the day’s competitive atmosphere.

– 4:30 PM: NZFFI Auckland All-Stars vs. USA All-Stars
