The Pacific Break 2024 Launch Concert, the most significant music contest in the Pacific, took place over the weekend at the Beach Club Wailoaloa in Nadi. The lineup for the concert boasted performances from some of the brightest talents in Pacific music, including previous Pacific Break champions – Ju Ben from Fiji, Danielle from PNG, and Sprigga Mek from PNG – together with Bibao and Lonna from the Solomon Islands, and Oni and Ratu from Fiji.

ABC Radio Australia sponsored the event, which kicked off at 4.30pm, with $15 being the admission charge. All proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Frank Hilton Organisation.

Last year’s Pacific Break champion, Peni Roqara, better known as Ju Ben, expressed his excitement about participating in the competition saying it was overwhelming and amazing. He also mentioned his honor and humility performing with other talented artists from the Pacific Islands.

Mereoni ‘Oni’ Ramacake, a 2023 Pacific Break finalist, also praised the event, calling it a fantastic platform for up-and-coming artists. She went on to add that the concert was bound to bring a unique atmosphere.
