Fiji’s head coach Mick Byrne is preparing for a challenging series of matches as his team takes on Samoa and Tonga in the upcoming 2024 Pacific Nations Cup. He labels the encounters as a “tough Pacific battle” that will provide essential lessons for the team.
Byrne remarked, “Samoa and Tonga are great competitors, as they always are. We’re really looking forward to hosting Samoa at home and then traveling over to Tonga before we head to Japan.”
With a reputation for physical play and strong performances, Byrne anticipates fierce competition in both matches. “Both teams will be equally competitive, and we’re looking forward to that challenge,” he noted.
The Fijian team will host Manu Samoa at the HFC Bank Stadium next Friday at 6 PM.
