Through faith and perseverance, Qenika Ravula has overcome significant challenges to graduate with a National Certificate in Electrical Fitter Mechanic Level Three. His journey, which took place during the Pacific Polytech graduation ceremony at Kshatriya Hall in Labasa, serves as an inspiring testament to resilience despite adversity.

At just 20 years old, Mr. Ravula, the fourth eldest of seven siblings from Vuinaqalutu Village in Macuata, has faced a spinal disorder known as kyphosis for over a decade. This condition, which affects the spine’s curvature, has made social interactions difficult for him. Nevertheless, he draws strength from his faith and the motivational words of the Bible, particularly the verse, “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.”

Mr. Ravula’s determination led him to pursue education beyond his Year 12 at Ahmadiyya Muslim College, graduating with a trade certificate — a milestone that marks him as the first in his family to achieve this level of technical qualification. His educational journey continued at the Naleba Youth Training Centre, where he completed a five-month course funded through the Tertiary Education and Loan Scheme.

Grateful for the unwavering support of his mother, who cultivates root crops to sustain the family with assistance from the Social Welfare Department, Mr. Ravula acknowledges the sacrifices made on his behalf. He encourages other young people to pursue their dreams, stressing the importance of faith, hard work, and making wise choices.

“My mother never gave up on me, and I want others to realize that they can achieve their goals too. God has a plan for everyone,” he said, emphasizing that hard work is essential for success in life.

This remarkable story of Qenika Ravula highlights not only the triumph of the human spirit but also the importance of community support and faith in overcoming life’s challenges. His journey serves as a beacon of hope for those facing their struggles.

In summary, Mr. Ravula’s graduation is not just a personal achievement; it represents inspiration for all, particularly those with disabilities or from challenging backgrounds, showing that dedication and faith can lead to extraordinary accomplishments.
